Anxiety

The breathing

of the earth frozen

with ice and snow

the rivers

fenced in by mountains

the light

got its body swallowed

by night

and my

freedom fettered

by fears and anxiety

on the daily

they say if you shift perspectives

for a second

the earth

however barren

is adorned with snow and ice

the rivers

however tortuous

are accompanied by lumps

of the mountains

no matter how dim the light

it has the backing of the night

and as tethered as i am

there's still little freedoms

you know like here

and maybe there

but not one i can see

it must have been just me.
